Hal ini dirasa penting untuk memperkuat keamanan sekaligus menunjukkan kekuatan Indonesia. Final RAAF Hawk Aircraft Ready for Upgrade

26 Oktober 2018 RAAF Hawk 127 (all photos : Aus DoD) BAE Systems Australia has inducted the final aircraft into its Williamtown maintenance facility ahead of its upgrade that will make Royal Australian Air Force’s Hawk Mk127 fleet among the most advanced of its type in the world. The project to upgrade the 33 aircraft fleet began in 2016. The upgrade of this last aircraft in 2019 will complete the strategically important Lead-In Fighter Capability Assurance Program. The Royal Thai Air Force Receives Two New H225Ms

25 Oktober 2018 RTAF H225M helicopter (photo : RTAF) Thailand, The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has taken delivery of its seventh and eighth H225M (previously known as EC725) multirole utility helicopters. Since 2012, the RTAF has placed orders for a total of 12 H225Ms under its fleet modernisation programme. Belonging to a contract signed in 2016, these new additions will join the air force’s existing fleet of six H225Ms for combat search and rescue, search and rescue flights and troop transport missions. The 11-ton-catergory twin-turbine H225M is relied  upon as a force multiplier by many air forces worldwide thanks to its outstanding endurance and fast cruise speed. Featuring state-of-the-art electronic instruments and the renowned 4-axis autopilot system, the multirole helicopter may be fitted with various equipment to suit any role. Indian Navy Offers Operational Sea Training to Malaysian Navy Ship in Kochi

The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Ship KD Jebat, commanded by Commander Mohammed Noorsyarizal Bin Mohammed Noordin, got the first training from the Indian Navy. The vessel which arrived the other day will get 12 days training under the aegis of the Indian Naval Workup Team (INWT). This is the first time a Malaysian ship is undergoing such a training activity in India. Speaking at the conference, Tyutaro Kobayashi, deputy head of Japan International Cooperation Agency’s Vietnam Office said Vietnam was facing many challenges caused by climate change, including coastal erosion, high tides and saltwater intrusion. The country was estimated to lose 1.5 percent of its GDP due to climate change, not including the loss of lives. For 2019, the budget of the Department of National Defense (DND) has gone up to PhP183.4 billion. This translates to a 34.4 percent increase over its 2018 cash-based equivalent budget of PhP136.5 billion. “The DND has the fourth biggest budget allocation for 2019 among the national agencies.” Department of Budget and Management Secretary Benjamin E. Diokno said. “This is in line with the government’s 0+10-Point Socioeconomic Agenda to make the country’s safety and security an essential pillar in our sustained economic growth.” For 2019, the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, and the Philippine Navy have been allocated Php89.0 billion, PhP24.6 billion, and PhP27.8 billion, respectively. HMPNGS Rabaul Retires After 31 Years of Service

24 Oktober 2018 HMPNGS Rabaul (photo : aje162000) Pacific Patrol Boat former HMPNGS Rabaul completes final voyage Yesterday marked the end of an era for former HMPNGS Rabaul, which has completed its final voyage to Port Macquarie from Lombrum Naval Base on Manus Island, after 31 years of service with the Papua New Guinea Defence Force. The patrol boat was gifted to Papua New Guinea in May 1987 under the Pacific Patrol Boat Program, which ultimately delivered 22 vessels to Pacific Island nations. Papua New Guinea received four Pacific Patrol Boats, which have been the bedrock of successful Australia-Papua New Guinea maritime security cooperation for over 30 years. The Commanding Officer of the Pacific Patrol Boat handed the keys to the Commonwealth in Port Macquarie yesterday, to enable environmentally responsible disposal of the vessel.  The crew will travel to the Defence International Training Centre and then to Western Australia for training before receiving the first of their four

China Starts Building 2nd Littoral Mission Ship for Malaysia

24 Oktober 2018 LMS of the Royal Malaysia Navy (image : TLDM) WUHAN (Xinhua) -- China on Tuesday started building the second littoral mission ship (LMS) for Malaysia in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province. The new LMS is contracted by Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group under China Shipbuilding Industry Co. and is being built at its Shuangliu base in Wuhan. The first ship China made for Malaysia entered the building phase on July 31 this year. According to the contract, China will design and build four LMS for the Royal Malaysian Navy. These ships will be used for patrol, anti-terrorism, rescue, and protection of fishery activities. The contract is the first large military equipment order between China and Malaysia. ( Xinhua )

Sebelumnya, Ryamizard meminta tambahan anggaran sebesar Rp 29 triliun, namun yang dikabulkan hanya Rp 1,2 triliun. “Ini ditanggung dari kementerian dan dari RPJPM ya,” terangnya.
